Ana Cristina Ferguson - Artist When I look at a stained glass window in Canada, the
image of sunrays glinting across a forming wave, on the coast of
Brazil, comes to mind. This image is the base to my love towards
glass and metal artistry. The learning journey began with seed beads jewelry. Took a big turn towards mainframe computers. Marriage and two daughters took me back, slowly towards art, by designing and sewing ballet and skating costumes. That’s when Originals by Cristina Inc. was created. Once in that road it didn’t take me long to discover A.R.T. Glass Studio. By taking classes in Stained Glass, Fused Glass and Lampworked beads, Silversmithing, plus a Fine Arts certificate, I became interested in the possibilities of combining drawing, glass and precious metals. To reflect this change of direction Glass & Such Studio became part of Originals by Cristina Inc. I’m presently part of the Alberta Craft Council the PMC Guild. My beads are on display at Bedrock Supply Ltd., Edmonton, AB and are part of a few private collections. I sell my jewelry, gifts and a few beads at Etsy store and from time to time I auction my beads on EBay.ca and JustBeads.com.
